Eastern Asset Management Group – Responsive Repairs Collaboration Event

The Eastern Asset Management Group represents the majority of social housing asset management specialists from the East of England. The group works collaboratively, sharing ideas and best practice, meeting twice each year.

Our region comprises very rural and urban housing, often with long distances between repair jobs calculated as some of the largest in the UK, particularly time wise.

Each housing provider delivers responsive repairs and maintenance using a number of well-established and successful vehicles: Direct Labour, Contracted Arrangements, Joint Ventures and hybrids of all of these. The problems start when stock is outside the core working area, often in other counties, or at least an hour from base.

Having listened to the thoughts of the housing providers, DLOs and contractors in our region Steve Tyree, The Managing Director at Eastern procurement has been able to identify real opportunities to deliver improved and more efficient services through collaboration.

This conference will seek to understand the advantages and to unravel the challenges associated with enabling a collaborative multi- client, multi provider service for the good of all across the Eastern region. Our goal is not to create a complex procurement, or colossal JV, but instead to make working together as simple as we can, employing minimum effort for maximum results.

The day will include interesting insight from Legal advisers and those with experience of collaboration. Attendees will be able to share their own thoughts in terms of potential benefits, barriers and ideas.

Additionally, we will hear a timely update from a Fire Door expert who will hopefully bring us all up to speed with this ever-changing topic.
